Who we are
UzAssystem is a joint venture established through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Assystem, an international engineering company. This joint venture is dedicated to the national low carbon energy strategy to transform the country’s energy infrastructure and create a sustainable and reliable energy network that will enable growth and prosperity.
This collaboration will create jobs locally and bring international engineering expertise in design, project management and digital tools to the heart of Uzbekistan’s energy transformation programme.
Sectors
Uzbekistan plans to develop alternative energy sources, including solar, wind and hydro, to produce electricity with low-carbon emissions. Uzbekistan also plans to build Central Asia’s first nuclear power plant, to provide the country with “uninterrupted and high-quality electricity on an industrial scale”.
