Project presentation
The Hybrid Power Plant project covers a total area of approximately 15 km² and situated between the Kanimekh and Nurata Districts in the Navoiy Region of Uzbekistan.
Hybrid Power Plant includes:
- 300 MW of wind energy (situated on ~10 km² area and includes around 48 wind turbine generators),
- 120 MWp of photovoltaic energy (situated on ~3.2 km² area),
- 200 MWh battery energy storage system.
To undertake the construction of this energy project, the client mandated UzAssystem to conduct site characterisation, grid impact assessment and overhead line (OHL) routing studies.
Project scope
1- Site Characterisation Studies:
Geological & Geotechnical Investigations
Topographical Studies
Hydrological Studies
2- Grid Impact Analysis Studies:
Prefeasibility Study
Power Evacuation Study
Stability Study
3- Overhead Line Route Selection Studies
Client Benefits
Accurate and precise information about the site conditions as per best practices and international norms and standards to make accurate estimation about their future investment
Understanding of availability of the grid of Uzbekistan and best, feasible, economical connection point for their power plant
Most feasible and economical OHL routing between the connection point which is determined by grid impact assessment of UzAssystem and power plant
